I have recently watched the movie Lake View Terrace with my boy friend John and i linked to a trailor to the movie above. I expected more from the movie from what I saw in the previews. I thought the movie was gouing to be scary and unpredictable. In my opinion the movie was predictable and not scary at all. The move was more humorous then anything. The movie was good however and I enjoyed watching it. I also found it interesting that it was filmed in Highlandpark. I saw many buildings that i recognized and streets that I recognize. The movie was about a couple movie into their first house and they are anxious and proud. They moved into a good neighborhood and cowincidently moved into a police officer form the LAPD. The couple consisted of a black girl and a white man. The officer next door was also black and did not like to see the white man with a black lady. He also did not like when white men try to act black. The cop made it very uncomfortable for the two and he also made it known that he did not want them there. The couple stayed regardless and tryed to work with him. After many attempts they gave up and began to hate him. The officer was a corrupt cop and worked with thugs on the street. The officer made an arrangement for a thug to break into their house when they were at a neighbors party he was also attending. The wife returned to the house alone and she was confronted by thr thug and she screamed. the officer and the man returned to house where he killed the intruder. The man discovered ut was him and the officer tried to kill him and his wife. He was soon killed by the LAPD down the street and so the movie ended. I did not really like the endig because it did not give much detail about the life of couple after that point. There were many funny parts in the movie as well as suspenseful parts. I would recommend this movie to people who are seeking to watch a funny movie. Overall it was a good movie just not what i expected.

Setting

I hear people talking rapidly in various languages.
I hear the cash registers operating.
I hear clerks persuading customers to buy their products.
I hear kids crying obnoxiously
I hear low volume, relaxing music playing in the elevator.

I smell new clothes around me.
I smell different women perfumes.
I smell a lack of deoterant on some people.
I smell the freshly made wetzels pretzels.
I smell different food being prepared in the food court.

I feel the different materials of clothing between my fingers.
I feel the different textures of jewlery.
I feel differnet sizes of heel boots upon my feet.
I feel the hand of my little sister reaching out for mine.
I feel money slipping through my fingers as i pay for my products.

I see many different styles on people.
I see many differnet colorful shoes.
I see many different stores inside the Glendale Galleria.
I see many different potential winter coats.
I see a pair of low boots I just might purchase.

I taste cold lemonade splashing down my throat.
I taste a soft, warm pretzel with a hint of cinnamon.
I taste the tropical flavor of the gum i am chewing.
I taste the cold vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone.
I taste spicy orange chicken from a panda express located in the food court.

Response To Lyrics

Song: Rockstar
Artist: Prima J

Lyrics

(Oooh) tell me what you think you're lookin at,
(Noo) so I think I'm Queen Elizabeth,
(Oooh) and now I'm stuck inside your memory,
(So) that's why it's so hard to get rid of me

I'm incredible, so unforgettable,
So no one can take my place
I'm unbreakable, highly flammable,
So girl get out my face

Oh my god I'm going crazy
Maybe 'cuz were so amazing
Everybody in there dazin'
That's the reason why they're hatin',
Treat us like some superstars
And only cuz that's what we are
You know we're going really far
And y'all ain't even heard it all

You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem, uh-huh,
You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem, uh-huh,
You hate me cuz I'm everything that you ever wanted to be
And I don't mind cuz I love it when you lookin at me
Cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
I said that I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
(Keep lookin at me)

(Wow) It seems to me like I was botherin'
(How) cuz I make walkin look like modelin
(How) it ain't my fault the boys keep followin'
(Wow) if you were better he wouldn't be wonderin'

I'm incredible, so unforgettable,
So no one can take my place,
I'm unbreakable, highly flammable,
So girl get out my face

Oh my god I'm going crazy
Maybe 'cuz I'm so amazing
Everybody in there dazin'
That's the reason why they're hatin'
Treat us like some superstars
And only cuz that's what we are
You know we're going really far
And y'all ain't even heard it all

You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem, uh-huh,
You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem, uh-huh
You hate me cuz I'm everything that you ever wanted to be
And I don't mind cuz I love it when you lookin at me
Cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
I said that I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,

(Ladies)

We're Prima J you know it
We're not afraid to show it
We hold our crown and that's right
It can't stop us now
The cloud we're on is golden
They can't fix what's not broken
Don't act like y'all don't know
What's bout to happen now

You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem uh-huh,
You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem uh-huh
You hate me cuz I'm everything that you ever wanted to be
And I don't mind cuz I love it when you lookin at me
Cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
I said that I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,

You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem uh-huh,
You hate cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
A pretty little problem uh-huh
You hate me cuz I'm everything that you ever wanted to be
And that I'm lying cuz I love it when you lookin at me
Cuz I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
I said that I'm a rockstar, a rockstar,
(Keep lookin at me)

Why don't you take a picture? It'll last longer

Response:

Rockstar is one of my favorite songs beause I feel it totally relates to me. A lot of people usually hate on me because I'm really outspoken and they seem to think thats a problem, but its not so like the song says "they can't fix what's not broken." It affects me because it helps me realize that no matter what people always hate on others and the reason for that is that they are jealous. I really like the song because it has a catchy beat and I love the lyrics and how they talk about what goes on in real life and that just because some people are prettier than others you dont have to hate. The song Rockstar makes me feel good because it lets me know that people who hate on me are simply envious. The song tells me that the artists are people who don't care if others talk about them because in the long run they are just making them famous by keeping their names in their mouths. The artist style is very pop cultural and in. Prima J are two girls named Jesse and Nelly who simply want everyone to know that you're not the just average girl-next-door. This is why I like the song Rockstar by Prima J.
